Real UX projects from banking and industry — with problem, approach and result.

Manufacturing processes for steam turbines: from one to two days per bill of materials to hours.
Five industrial engineers in a Siemens steam-turbine factory created their manufacturing processes in SAP from printed bills of materials, highlighter pens and copied legacy texts. Thiago Andrade, then an application engineer in permanent employment, worked the process on the shop floor for months, validated the core problems with the team and built a solution from Excel automation, a template library and an SAP link. According to the project records, lead time fell by 80 %.

A MiKaDiv reporting module that clerks can operate safely under deadline pressure.
Beabstracto worked as UX consultancy for the vendor of a withholding-tax reclaim software. For a new reporting module under MiKaDiv and the modernisation of the established RAQUEST platform, we turned scattered domain knowledge into a reusable decision framework — and into a prototype in TypeScript that stakeholders at tier-1 banks took for finished software.
Making workflow configuration in a DMS understandable – and UX quality measurable.
For administrators and key users who configure workflows in a document management system, what counts is precision, predictable behaviour and clear feedback. Three years of UX/UI design as an employee at DocuWare: Workflow Designer, enterprise configuration, design-system foundations – and UX quality made measurable through benchmarks, rituals and OKRs.
A grown industrial software product restructured — without losing the depth of the domain.
For Ebner Industrieofenbau we led the modernisation of a legacy software product for expert users as UX/Product Design Lead: product and information architecture first, then user flows, high-fidelity concepts and the direction for a design system. The outcome is a set of implementation-ready concepts in which experienced users recognise their work — not an interface that merely looks newer.

A maintenance app that works at the control cabinet — and under every client brand.
For a vendor selling its app to many industrial clients, we designed an offline-first app for iOS and Android that lets technicians capture and read the health of electronic components in seconds. A token-based design system ships the same app under many industrial brands: a new brand is a configuration, not a redesign.

One place per project: a project hub in SharePoint and Teams for an intralogistics company.
For a German intralogistics and warehouse-automation company we designed a project hub in Microsoft 365: status, team, milestones, reports and documents of every customer project in one place. Built from native SharePoint and Teams components, so the company runs and extends the hub itself.

Every variant of a B2B component in Figma — generated by an AI agent, reviewed by the designer.
For the maker of an enterprise document-management and workflow platform, we stopped drawing the variant and state matrix of a configurable component by hand and had an agent generate it in Figma straight from the code prototype. The designer designs the system, writes the prompt and reviews the result; the agent does the production. Code and design system stay in sync.
Turning a table problem into a reusable product pattern.
For Flexera, a vendor of enterprise software for IT asset management, FinOps and software asset management, Thiago Andrade worked as Senior Product Designer to make dense, table-heavy workflows clearer and easier to use. The starting point was a specific navigation problem in one table. The outcome was a concept for saved filters and views that holds beyond that one place in the product – validated in usability tests and aligned with a design organization of more than 20 designers.
Turning vague product ideas into usable SaaS interfaces — as the only designer.
At izz.ai in Munich, Thiago Andrade worked from October 2021 to February 2023 as an employed UX/UI designer, shaping SaaS solutions for SMEs and enterprise clients across Europe. Immature requirements and early product ideas became user flows, high-fidelity prototypes and implementation-ready designs. This case shows how that works without a large design team — and what Beabstracto takes from it for its clients.
