Let's talk

Service · UX Team as a Service
A UX Lead and a practised team of UX Research, UX Design and UX Engineering, assembled for your specialist system. With guaranteed cover, research and UI in parallel, and a company that carries the responsibility. For industry and banking, where operating errors are expensive.
UX Team as a Service is a complete UX team with guaranteed capacity: a UX Lead who carries responsibility for outcome and quality, and UX professionals from research, design and engineering, combined the way your project needs them. You do not get a single person you have to onboard and replace when they are out, but a unit with cover, shared standards and a company behind it. The team knows specialist systems in industry and banking, works remotely from Munich and on site by arrangement, and delivers from the interview with the business department to the component in code.
Three sizes cover the range from a single specialist system to a platform with several products. The composition adapts along the way: more research when requirements are unclear, more engineering when the design system has to land in code.
You are introducing a new system or replacing a legacy application, and nobody on the project has UX as their main job. The team takes on that role from the first process interview to acceptance by the business department.
Your product has modules for tax, regulatory reporting or configuration that customers cannot understand without lengthy training. The team brings research with expert users and UI work together so that complaints and tickets go down.
Several development teams need consistent patterns, a shared design language and someone who makes decisions. A UX Lead with a team holds the line, even when the teams are distributed.
Operators rely on the screen when things get tight. The team designs and tests operator interfaces where they are used: at the plant, in the control room, with the people who run the shift.
The size depends on the scope of your system and the number of teams you need to serve. Switching between sizes along the way is possible.
1 UX Lead + 1 Senior
One specialist system, one development team, one clear question
The lead takes on strategy, prioritisation and alignment with the business department. The senior covers research, design or engineering, depending on what the project needs first. For an introduction, a modernisation or a product area that finally needs someone to look after it.
1 UX Lead + 2 UX professionals
Modernisation programme, platform with several flows, software vendor
The standard size. Research and UI genuinely run in parallel, because two professionals from research, design and engineering are combined the way the phase demands. Enough for a product with several modules or for a development team that needs continuous UX input.
1 UX Lead + 3 to 4 UX professionals
Platform with several products and distributed teams
For organisations in which several product teams need a shared design language and a design system. The lead coordinates, the professionals sit with the teams, research delivers insights across all products.
Every team has the same basic structure. What changes is the number of professionals and their focus.
The lead is your contact for priorities, quality and decisions. They lead the team professionally, align with product management and development, and stand for the result, not just for the delivery of files.
Interviews, observation at the workplace and tests with the people who operate the system every day: fund accounting, tax department, control room, maintenance. Research runs in parallel to UI work, not ahead of it as a separate phase.
Information architecture, flows, states and error cases for systems with many rules. From the sketch to the clickable prototype that shows the business department how it will feel before a single line of code is written.
Components, tokens and frontend patterns that land in your stack and not in a slide deck. The team works with your developers in the same repository, so that what was tested is also what gets shipped.
Holidays, illness or a change in the team are our problem, not yours. Every role has an onboarded substitute. Knowledge is documented within the team and does not live in one person's head.
WCAG 2.2 AA and BFSG are part of every delivery, not an add-on. Plus metrics you can use to measure UX quality: task success, error rate, processing time, satisfaction.
We talk about your system, your users and the point where things get stuck. From that comes a recommendation for the size and composition of the team. NDA upfront if you need it.
The team already knows specialist systems in banking and industry. We need access to the business department, development and a test environment, not an introduction to the domain.
Research starts immediately: interviews, observation at the workplace, analysis of parallel spreadsheets and workarounds. At the same time, UI work begins on the parts that are already clear.
Flows and prototypes are tested with the business department before they are built. UX engineering brings components into your stack and works with your developers on the same code.
We agree on metrics, check them along the way and adapt the composition of the team when the focus shifts.
At the end there is either a team on your side that can take over the work, or a continuation in a smaller form, as a smaller team or as UX Support.
Guaranteed cover: if someone is out, an onboarded person is ready, with no renewed onboarding on your side.
Research and UI in parallel: you do not wait for the end of a research phase before anything becomes visible.
Design-to-code: what was tested lands as a component in your repository, not as an image in a slide deck.
One point of contact: the UX Lead carries responsibility for the outcome and quality of the whole team.
A company carries the risk: contract, liability, confidentiality and data protection sit with Beabstracto, not with individual freelancers.
Additions that can follow on from the team once the product is live or the scope grows.
Tell us which system you are introducing or modernising and who operates it. We recommend size and composition, and we say openly when a smaller format is enough.
